Background - Certain marine surveyors have earned the privilege to use a designation denoting membership in an accrediting organization, which require members to meet strict professional, technical & ethical standards. There are only two official governing/licensing bodies which are recognized by the Insurance/Casualty and Lending Industry; these are N.A.M.S. (National Association of Marine Surveyors) and S.A.M.S. (Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors). Both of which are closely aligned and share similar philosophies and work ethics, while keeping those "Shade Tree - Wanna-be" Surveyors at bay.

Joseph Curry has been a long standing  Accredited member of the S.A.M.S. (Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors) for more than twelve years, with additional memberships in the I.A.M.I. (International Association of Marine Investigators) and A.B.Y.C. (American Boat and Yacht Council). All surveys performed follow A.B.Y.C., N.F.P.A. (National Fire Protection Agency) and U.S.C.G. Safety standards in examination and reporting of vessels.

What should you expect:

We provide a professionally prepared report in a timely manner, accepted by all major insurance carriers and financial institutions.

Each survey report document provides essential equipment data and inventory as well as the current state of the vessel's structural integrity, safety and fitness for duty. An estimated fair market value and boat history is also assigned to that vessel.

Reports are client exclusive and are e-mailed to our client within 2 - 4 working days, flowed by a client propriety hard copy in binder (for domestic clients) via Priority Express mail; overseas (and special order domestic) clients have Sea Trial video and photos posted to a private section on Youtube.
